I did the 100 Coats of Flaxseed Gel Natural Hair Edition Challenge and it was too crazy to not share with you! I would just like to warn you that this video might be gross to some but hilarious to others, either way looking back at it I don’t regret doing it LOL! Flaxseed is also known as linseed in Trinidad where I am from, so it might be called by another name in your local area.
Why did I do this Flaxseed Gel Natural Hair Challenge?
Well, a few months ago I came across SimplyNailLogic’s video called PolishMountain with 100 coats of polish and then recently I saw JeweJeweBee’s 100 pumps of conditioner so I began wondering. Should do a conditioner video too? Nah, soooo many others were doing it. Then, I thought, what about just hair gel? Nah, I don’t really use hair gels like Eco-Styler.
What can I do that would be healthy and beneficial to my hair and still help create a fun, 100 coats video at the end of it? Yup, I have got to do Flaxseed Gel!

Setting up the Challenge
Before I got started on the challenge I had to make my own homemade flaxseed gel, which is very easy to do in this case, however, I think I over did the ingredients accidentally! I usually use just 1/4 cup of flaxseeds to 2 cups of water. But in this case I did 2 cups of flaxseed to 8 cups of water. This mistake worked in my favour because the thickness of gel helped create great body and extra hold while applying it to my hair.
I hope you enjoy this video and I hope that you have a good laugh!
